BYD has just released a new variant of its compact electric SUV, the Yuan Up. The all-new Vitality Edition model starts at the attractive RMB 99,800 (€12,810) and promises an impressive 401 km range on a single charge. That’s a substantial range increase over the base model’s 301 km, and it comes at a modest RMB 3,000 (€387) premium, which makes it arguably the best value in the lineup.
The Yuan Up Vitality Edition joins the existing three trim levels. Its dimensions remain unchanged, with a length of 4.31 m, a width of 1.83 m, a height of 1.68 m, and a wheelbase of 2.62 m. Its fairly compact size, coupled with the electric powertrain, makes the Yuan Up an ideal urban runabout.
